My career in marine electronics began in 1989 when I enlisted in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service. After some intense electronics schooling I was assigned to a nuclear powered submarine USS Portsmouth (SSN-707) as part of the Communications Division. My first real challenge was to rebuild the radio room during a shipyard period. After a 2+ year tour I was transferred overseas to the USS Holland (AS-32) as part of the WestPac Communication Repair and Assistance Team. Forward deployed in Guam, we serviced almost every ship and submarine in the U.S. 7th Fleet at various Far East ports.

After the Navy I began working for Radio-Holland USA in Vancouver, WA. Radio-Holland is the world's largest and best provider of marine electronics service, having virtually every major seaport on earth covered with service.

My primary service with Radio Holland was with Deep Sea Vessels. My responsibilities included making time critical repairs of radars, gyrocompasses, GMDSS stations, and autopilots among others.

I also installed new equipment and did numerous radio safety inspections for ABS, FCC, Lloyd's Registry, Class NK, DNV and German Lloyd's.

Radio-Holland no longer operates a branch in Vancouver, but calls upon me regularly for service of their customers in the Columbia River area. I am very proud of my close association with Radio-Holland, USA.

While with Radio-Holland, my association with Tidewater Barge Lines began and continues to this day, providing service for their fleet of towboats.

Following Radio Holland, I joined Rodgers Marine Electronics in Portland, OR -a first rate sales and service company dedicated mostly to the recreational market.

My resume includes service and installation work on every type of vessel from a 14' ski boat in a garage to the C/S Disney Magic in the Adriatic Sea. From a NOAA research vessel to an aircraft carrier. From a 34' trawler to the Coast Guard's newest high speed patrol craft.

From sailboats to submarines, tugboats to mega-yachts, I've worked on them all and solved the toughest problems.

I can help you, too.
